How to submit a query email with a specific subject

Hi
We have a site with approx 50 antique items for sale.
I would like to have a little form next to each item, users would fill in their email address and the items title would be included automatically in the received email after they click the send button so that we know what item they are interested in. So how to include the title in the email?
At the moment I have a link to a form page that they fill in, we ask the user to state which item they are interested in, they often forget.
Many thanks
H

Hi H,
You can do this really easily with the PHP Feedback Form Action (http://www.freewayactions.com/product.php?id=019).

Here’s an example that sets the title of the resulting email using a standard menu item;
http://www.freewayactions.com/test/php-feedback-form-subject/

Set your field or menu name (3rd tab in the Inspector palette) to ‘subject’ (no quotes please) and the Action will automatically use this form data as the email subject line.

If you wanted a unique form for each of your 50 products you can do away with the menu and set the email subject in the Action palette itself (‘Email title’). This would ensure that you’ll get the right subject but may get a little tedious to set up and maintain in Freeway with all of those forms.
Regards,
Tim.

Thanks for that Tim, it all makes sense, however I cant see the “field or menu name (3rd tab in the Inspector palette)” anywhere? and presumably I would have to fill in the list details somewhere?

Have a look at this screen shot;
http://www.freewayactions.com/test/php-feedback-form-subject/namefield.png

You can see that the menu item in the form is selected and can set the name of the field in the 3rd tab in the Inspector palette. You can also set the menu items here as well as well as the default choice.

Download the Freeway file and explore.

Tim.
