html markup item

Hi,

is there a way of making a html markup item change size for a responsive website?

I’m using booking bug and it has different sized widgets and html text for the page size you want to use it on.

However I can’t change the code for each widget in the html markup box as it changes the size on all the other template pages, iphone, tablet etc.

is there any way to change the size of the html markup box?

Or is there another way round this?

thanks

Pete

i suspect that changing the Markup Items size will not help as it is the Markup code itself that will determine the size of the published item.

But post a link and we can have a look.

Hi Dave,

I’ve uploaded the page with the booking bug widget embeded.

http://webroc.org/book.html

I’ve used the smallest widget which would be good for an iphone/android device.

booking bug are in the process of making the widget responsive but they don’t know how long it will take.

If there is any way to make it responsive that would be great.

cheers

Pete

If they haven’t done it already then I suspect that it may not be easy - but we will have a look.

Because the item embedded is actually an iFrame this is not straightforward.

The original page that is displayed in the iFrame is in itself not responsive so I am not sure if this technique will work or not.

But have a look at Making Embedded Content Work In A Responsive iFrame — Smashing Magazine

And if i get a chance later I will see if it will work for you.
