Hyperlink problem

Help! I am new to freeway and have created a Master template that has some buttons with rollovers. I applied links in the master page to these buttons, knowing that this would then apply to every page. When I preview in Safari and Firefox and click on the rollover buttons, they do not link to the pages I have set. Am I doing something wrong? I chose Edit>hyperlink…and applied it to each rollover. I even tried playing with the target as well (still not sure how the target works…what is self, parent, blank?) I’m sure it is an easy fix, and I watched the Quicktime tutorial, but I was still left with these questions.

A starting point:

Targets:

_blank = your link will pop-up in a new window

_self = your link will load in the same browser window

_parent = deals with loading pages in parent / child frame-based relationships across browser frame sets. EX: getting a child page to load from a link that may lie in an existing parent frame-set. Often used within sites that use frames.

_top = causes a new page to load in the full body of the window, which is useful if you ever want to break out of a frameset you have created and have a frameless page.

As far as the roll-overs, perhaps a sample page hosted somewhere to see what’s happening? That’s the usual suggestion.

Hi, sorry, having trouble with my dns as well. you can view the page at http://74.53.234.34/~dave/index.html. As you can see, when you click on the red rollover buttons on the left, it does not take you to those specific pages. Note sure why. I created links to those pages specifically.

It’s hard to see if you grouped them all together because I can see that they’re map area’s and that they all link back to your home page.

Did you try ungrouping and regrouping and making sure you have the group item selected not the individual parts?

I’ve only done these once in my time, so bear with me if I ask the obvious.
