I need the first frame of my video to show in the flash player

I have successfully compressed a quicktime video using Squeeze 5 into a swf file. I make an HTML box and then import the swf file. It plays just fine when I preview it, but when you open my website, the player simply shows a white screen as the first frame. I need the first frame of the VIDEO to show up, not just a blank screen. Can someone PLEASE help! I need to get this video up ASAP.
Thanks

There was a thread here somewhere about creating a Poster Frame - have a search for Poster Frame

Do you just add this to the embed code?

Hi Dave and Roger,

You can add extra parameters to SWF files using the Item>Extended
dialog. Select the Flash item and go to Item>Extended. You will see an
Embed tab, make sure it’s selected and click New. Add image to the
Name field and the path to the image in the value field. I’m not
saying this works, I haven’t tried it but that’s how it would be added
if you wanted to try it out

Dave, since Freeway 5.3 you can add FLV and F4V (Flash Video) files
using the FLV Player Action. This Action will make a poster frame and
use that automatically for you. It also adds the ability to convert
the FLV to iPhone friendly QT format so iPhone users can see the movie
too. When using Squeeze see if you can export the QT as FLV rather
than SWF if the image= option doesn’t work for you.

I have been adding my video code as a markup and not using the
Extended dialog, so I don’t know if using the ED will make sure the
preview image is uploaded. When I use it in the markup, I have to
upload it manually or use the extra resources or upload stuff action.
The image= text follows the URL to the video location. This is a
sample of some code I used for a video using flvplayer.

Joe,
I figured out the flv action last night before I checked the forum. Thank you so much, though. I was importing a swf file before. I started playing with it, and was even able to customize the player! I am no web programmer, but I LOVE Freeway. It’s amazing! Thanks again to all of you who replied. It’s nice to know there are people who can help you.
