Great news! If only the majority of users stopped using IE… And you still have to consider the cross-browser compatibility issues because of that.

The majority already stopped using IE. I’ve been ignoring IE compatibility for years, with no issues at all. It kind of depends per region I guess??

James Wages in Japan has to contend with an enormous install base of XP users (many pirated) who cannot upgrade to anything better than IE6 or something like that.

I now use a detection script that sends users of IE9 or older to a very basic page telling them they are using an unsupported browser that belongs in a museum. From there it indicates suitable modern alternatives.
