Importing old site

I have just returned to Freeway after several years (I had 3.5) and need to import my old website. The older versions of Freeway had an Import function, that seems to have been removed. Is there a one-step method of getting the old site imported in verssion 5?

many thanks

When you say import do you mean import the HTML files?

FW has never been great at doing this.

Do you have the 3.5 files - if so then 5 will open them for you. And give you a better, less painful result than importing.

But if you want to try importing File>Get HTML

Hopefully you still have the 3.5 file as it’s a beast to get the “Get HTML” to work without having to do way more work than you need to if you were to just re-create everything.

I cannot see a Get HTML option under File, only Imp[ort (which is grayed out)

You may have to create a new document and have it open to use the Get HTML feature. You will definitely need the patiencepf Job to clean up what it makes of your site.

If you’re using Express then you won’t be able to import HTML. It
doesn’t take long at all to make a site though, draw HTML and graphic
boxes on the page and drag or copy and paste image and text into the
items.

Thanks. Since I use Express, I will try the cut and paste method
