Inserting NEW box into inline layout?

What’s the easiest way to insert a new html box into an inline layout that already has a number of boxes? I frequently find myself having to make 3 or 4 attempts to get ti right.

Select the last box in there and then use the Right arrow to go on, then Insert Html Item.

I do this:

I click to enter into the container box – I can’t tell for certain where my
cursor is initially, so I cmnd-a select all then tap the left arrow key.
This means the cursor is now before the first inserted div.

From this starting point, pressing the right key will select the first
inserted div just as if you had clicked on it with the mouse. Look and
you’ll see it’s selected because you’ll see it outlined with the control
points showing. Press right arrow again and the cursor is now after the
first inserted div. Press again selects the second inserted div, again is
past it. And so on.

That’s my secret
