I would love to offer my visitors a facility where they could design a basic layout and see the results on screen so they can be sure of what they are ordering.
It would be a very basic line drawing, showing positions of glass panels and doors along with which way the doors open / swing.
Any idea how this could be achieved, what tool would enable me to do this?
Do you want them to sketch it freehand, or do you want to have buttons (for example) to add the elements to a fixed drawing grid, and maybe drag things around?

Well, freehand sketching I have already written. Drag and drop from a library would be cool, but it’s a lot more work. Also, I’m not sure if my sketching thing would run in any IE < 9.
