I do not see the action scroll layer in the menu. Scroll button is. Is this thing still working? HTML 1.0 Strict.
Some alternatives maybe?
In an dynamic site I would like to archieve a scrolling layer with an unknown amount of items (images) to be scrolled without the usual ugly overflow browserbars.
I got a working file from Buro8 (thanks for that!) Now I understand that this is only working on layers. Site is with box-model, all floating, therefore I did not see the Action in the menu. A loose layer is anywhere on my dynamic page.
Besides, EE does strange things with the links from the buttons:
Not Found
The requested URL /templates_fw/level/ was not found on this server.
Are there other methodes to achieve the same thing?
It sounds like the EE links feature is processing the links that the
Scroll Layer Action has created to drive its effect. I don’t think
those two will play nicely together without considerable engineering
effort. You could try making your scroll effect with a different
approach, maybe using the Scriptaculous Slider to drive the offset.
Then you won’t have any links to get munged, and everything should
just work.
