Item movement?

I’m not sure what’s going on here, but some of my placed items are moving when previewed in Safari.

Here’s a little background.
My webpage size is 960 x 850. At the very back I have a 960 x 850 background graphic item, which is colored white and has a black outer glow set to produce a shadowing effect. I tried doing this with a placed HTML item, but when I added the outer glow effect I was getting a weird block in the top left corner of the item, which was screwing up the positioning of other placed items.

On top of the background graphic item I have a header, CSS Menus, and various HTML and graphic items. The topmost graphic item is moving up about 10 pixels when viewed in a web browser.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks David. I think I figured it out. It was a “Combine with Children” problem. I should probably find out what that check box means. LOL
