I've really messed things up now

Since I couldn’t get the links to work on my graphics, I got the bright idea to go into my server account and delete the uploaded site and upload it fresh. I must have done something wrong because now I can’t see my site at all - just the directory list. when I click on index.html in the list the site opens but it won’t open directly. Can anyone help me?

Did you delete the www or public_html folder and not just the
contents? Have you uploaded into www (if it still exists)?

I didn’t delete the public_html folder but I did delete most of the files in this directory except for the folders containing the sub-webs I run for other people. I uploaded into the public_html folder.

I re-installed some files that were in the trash can
.wysiwygPro_edit_Index_html.php
postinfo.html
feed.xml
_vti_inf.html
index.html (there are two files with the same name but one had a capital I at the beginning)

Now I get this message when I try to open the site.

“Safari can’t open the page.
Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://www.beaded-baubles.com/Home.html”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.”

Oh dear. I don’t want to be alarmist, but you may have deleted
something moderately important. I suggest that you FIRST back up
everything that you care about that’s on that web space, and then ask
your hosting company to see what they can do to fix it. The siimple
solution might involve a complete reset, hence the backup.

And remember, only delete things you know you put there in the first place!

I know . . . a little knowledge is a dangerous thing! I’m proof.
