I want to know if the extension “Joomla Actions Suite” by Paul Dunning is compatible with Joomla 3xx? It works fine in Joomla 1.5xx 2.5xx.
There will be a version for Freeway Pro 6, will it be possible to have more flexibility with submenu 2 and 3rd levels? Eg add background images in the 3rd level menu?

I have not had a chance to test this suite against Joomla 3 - too many things going on in my personal life in the last few months of 2012 to concentrate on Actions. Sorry. Many things have had to be put to the back burner.
That said, it is possible that the Actions may work with Joomla 3 if they have not done much to the templates system. If they have, then it may require a re-write of the Actions as they are pretty full coping with 1.5, 1.6 and 2.5 which are already very different beasts, and/or I drop support for Joomla 1.5. The Actions do a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes, and they are pretty hefty already. This heavy lifting is basically converting Freeway’s output to one which Joomla can use.
I’ll have a look at 2nd and 3rd level menus - again, I feel there needs to be a trade off between complexity, and an Action suite which is fairly painless to maintain.
Sorry missed a point. I have tested the current Actions against Freeway 6, and they appear to be working. This is a preliminary assessment as Freeway 6’s output is subtly different, and this can cause layout changes.
However, as always, be absolutely certain that your sites work in Freeway 6 before committing. That’s just common sense. I have both FW5.5 and 6 on my machines here. It usually takes a me a few months to move everything from the previous version of Freeway to the new version.

I’d like to use your action on Freeway Pro 6.1.2 But I need your validation I would also pass on Joomla 3xxx…
From what I can tell, it seems to be mostly getting Joomla 3 to see and install the Template. The data file (that tells Joomla what files go where) has changed. So first port of call is getting the Actions to re-write that, and hopefully the rest will slot into place, with some tweaking.
It’s in hand. It’s a case of testing output against a clean install of Joomla and seeing if some of my templates work.

I’ve just updated the Actions to work with Joomla 3. I know it’s been a long time coming, but there have been a lot of other demands on my attention of late. The Actions have been tested against a default Joomla 3 install, and they appear to be working as expected.
Hopefully the next Joomla update (which I expect is Joomla 4) won‘t be a tough hill to climb as far as template writing is concerned.
Be aware that I plan to drop support for Joomla 1.5 to help keep the size of the code down. Other wise, some of the Actions will keep growing as new versions of Joomla appear.
