legacy sites and Freeway 5

I have a number of legacy sites that have not been moved into Freeway 4. Is
Freeway 5 able to take such sites direct from version 3 without too much
issue?

all the best

It seems that Freeway 5 Public Beta is able to read Freeway 3
documents but may take a long time to complete the process of
reading the older document format. As in, go make tea/coffee/other
beverage of choice. There was a report of it not being able to open a
document, but I believe this was just because of the long wait
required.

It may be wise at the moment to open in Freeway 4 first. Of course,
you must remember that this version is beta; it is not 100% solid
yet, and may well change in a number of ways between now and the
final 5.0 release.

I tried opening a Freeway 3.5 site with version 5 beta: it looked as if it was opening OK, but got stuck with a little pop-up window called “Progress, converting layout”. An hour later, no progress had been made, so I gave up on it. Should I have tried longer?
