Link Text not all highlighted on hover

On this page
http://www.richard-lowther.com/doucefrance2/suites.html

the text on the coloured rectangles are links. In three of them all the text is highlighted on hover.
But on the others only some of the text gets highlighted. I am baffled so if any one can tell me why this happens and of course how to resolve it they would make me happy

Best wishes Richard

Select all the text, remove the link. Remove the styles.

Select all the text add the styles then re-add the links.

At the moment your links are broken into 2 sections - as if you had 2 links to the same place.

Thank you David

I did try removing the links and then reapplying them, which did not work - hence my question.

Removing the styling as well as the links then reapplying them worked a treat though.

Many thanks Richard

Of course you can mention it and it is much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to looking at it. I see I need to take more care even at this mock up stage. Not to mention badly named images !

Best wishes Richard

Hello,
I have no idea what you mean. I do have problems with a box that keeps
appearing when I upload my site that says," RESOURCE CANNOT BE FOUND. The
following resources cannot be found. The file Macintosh HD:
users:johnnawheeler:Pictures:iPhoto
Library:Masters:2012:04:20120421-093002:Mark’s girls. - Version 2.jpg for
this graphic cannot be found. The preview image will be used instead (output
quality lower). And there is a long list like this. I don’t know what to do
about it, but it shows up on my website just fine, appearance wise anyway. I
uploaded my website after doing the stuff I just mentioned in my last reply,
and I don’t see anything different. I am referring to the instructions at
the end of page 429 and the beginning of page 430.

Not sure which thread you were replying to Joanna but that error message usually means that an image is no longer at the location (on your HD) where it was when you first used it on your FW page.

So the image that was at Pictures:iPhoto Library:Masters:2012:04:20120421-093002:Mark’s girls - is likely no longer there or you have renamed it.

I hope you have renamed it because you should NOT use punctuation characters in file names - like apostrophes! (and spaces)

Instead stick to Alphanumerics like (a-z, A-Z, 0-9) and _underscores and - hyphens. Anything else can and will trip up Browsers.

Best practice is to copy an image file (correctly named) and put it in the Media folder that FW creates for you. Then they are all together and you avoid these issues.

Now you have the problem you can get sort it by using Edit>Resources - this will show you a list of files used in your FW doc and their status. Look for missing ones.

Select your missing image and use the Edit button (bottom right) - this opens a dialogue box where you can then use the Locate button to navigate (via the Finder) to your missing image. (Maybe now in the Media folder) Once you locate the missing image, select it and then use the Open Button (bottom right) to complete the process.
