links

in the ‘slides’ gallery you can now add hyperlinks - it is possible to add links to an anchor which is on another page?

If you can add a link then creating a link to an anchor is as simple as adding #linkname to the end of the link.

just to confirm! So if the link is on www.website/images.co.uk would the link on the exhibeo slide be www.website/images.co.uk#linkname as that doesn’t appear to work

thanks for your help

It needs to be added to the page name ie www.website.com/pagename.html#anchorname

Here is a quick example http://www.deltadesign.co/FW6Test/link-to-anchor.html

The text is linked to an anchor called ‘penguin’ on the linked page.

After you have clicked the link look at the URL in the address bar on the following page reflection-js.html

still no joy!

on http://www.stokefilmtheatre.org.uk there is this link below on the first image on the slide - ‘The Deep’

http://www.stokefilmtheatre.org.uk/mainprogramme.php#deep

on http://www.stokefilmtheatre.org.uk/mainprogramme there is the anchor ‘deep’ in the text - this is done in webyeb

can you see what I am doing wrong, many thanks

Hi Noel,

It seems that Exhibeo is encoding the # character, so for the second URL you mentioned, what you’re actually getting is this;
http://www.stokefilmtheatre.org.uk/mainprogramme.php%23deep

And with that the server will be looking for a file called “mainprogramme.php#deep” instead of “mainprogramme.php”.

It’s a bit of a faff but I can give you a workaround until we have this fixed. If you are exporting to Freeway, after exporting you will need to right click on the xbExport bundle and choose Show Package Contents, then open the file ‘body’ with TextEdit.

Find and replace all, “%23” for “#”, and save the file. You can then carry on adding the export to the Freeway Action and the links should work. Note that you’ll need to do this each time you export.

If you’re exporting to HTML, you’ll need to basically do the same thing, just copy the body code and do the find and replace before adding it to the page you want it on.

bingo! works a treat, thanks for that - now just got to sort the anchor in webyeb to go somehow go at the top of the box as opposed to the rich text in the middle!
