my drawings consist of many (restrained) horizontal and vertical lines. i can hold the option key every time I draw one. i have quickened the process by first creating one of each on the drawing. every time I need a restrained line, I HOLD my left mouse button down over one of the originals and when the + appears, i drag the duplicate away (don’t let up on the button). and guess what - that duplicate is also restricted. the duplicate cannot be rotated by pulling on a control point. if I need other than a restrained line, I use the tool palette.
