Mal's e-commerce

after pressing the continue shopping button the link to return to the site gives not the correct link…
Where can I change something to get the right return link?

Mal’s e-commerce does not want to answer this question he simply states " ask the developer of Freeway Pro"

In Freeway I have a E-Buy Form action, there is an option to put a target there, I have no idea what to put there…

Anyone help?

The Target option is not anything to do with returning to your page - it is to do with displaying your cart.

You can add a hidden field to your buy link with the name: return and the value: of the Url of your web page

You can also set it in Mals itself.

I asked Mal’s how to do this, he gives no support!!!

there is a place in the mals account settings for a return link, that does not work and Mal’s it self did not mention it.

Can you be more specific how and where to do this in Freeway Pro?
How do I add a hidden field?
Where to put that field?
Where can I find my buy link?
Is my E-Buy Form action the buy link?

Can you post a link to your page so that I can see how it is constructed.

The return path should be included automatically if you have set your site web address in File>Document Setup>Upload - just the site address like www.mysite.com (no added folders)

The Action uses that base web address and then adds the folder/filename - so if your shopping page is in the ‘shop’ folder and is called ‘shop.html’ then the Return address should be set as www.mysite.com/shop/shop.html

But post a link and we can check.

DAVID,

THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW… IT WORKS!!!
Your the best, last year you also solved a problem for me,
Softpress must be very happy with, you sell the packages!!
here is the link to the site, www.norestfortheobsessed.com/store.

It works as you describe here, but what I really want that it returns to the shop and not to the article page where he comes from.
Because, Mal’s? Freeway? add the page name to it and I prefer going back to the store homepage.
For example as it goes now, after pressing the continue shopping button the URL is: http://www.norestfortheobsessed.com/store/T-Shirts%20Detail/canitbe-black.html?tp=CONTINUE+SHOPPING
What i prefer that the follow is generated:
http://www.norestfortheobsessed.com/store/
that is the the store entry page and not back to the article page.

But if is not possible I can live with your solution!!!
Thousend Thanks again…

You could try this but there is no guarantee that this will over-ride the action generated setting

In your table that holds the size selector insert another form field. In the inspector give it the name: return and the value: http://www.norestfortheobsessed.com/store/index.html

Now with that field still selected go to Item>Extended and create a new name/value pair of type/hidden

Preview in Browser and test.

And as another point - and I am finding myself repeating this over and over here. Be careful about naming your files and folders. Dont use spaces in file/folder names.

Stick to alphanumerics (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) _undescores and -hyphens. Dont use any punctuation marks or any other weird stuff as these can trip up browsers/servers.

You have at least one folder with a space in its name ‘T-Shirts Detail’
