hey all
I have 2 Mal’s issues:
I have set up a small shopping cart. I designed custom buttons , uploaded them on Mals site and they work perfectly,
except when I uploaded new site update from freeway
and all is gone, the buttons are gone.
The other items I put in the FW installed e-shop settings work fine. Mal explained that Freeway overwrites my custom cart made within Mals
I also am trying to figure the shipping options out as I have 2 different shipping rates for different products. By choosing flat rate, it will apply to all items in store and does not allow me to set multiple flat rates
Hey Dave
shipping some products are $10 for shopping and another page is $8:50
there is no option for multiple rates on Mal’s , only fixed rates,
as for the buttons
I have E buy text action attached to a word Purchase.
I will have main buttons only in cart, like Recalulate, Continue shopping, continue and finish order. I have made all those buttons uploaded them directly on to Mals. they look great then the minute I reupload new changes Poof! all buttons are gone. Mal told me this happens, for whatever reason. dont seem to have an answer

You mean these are for display on the cart page on Mal’s site. I have never felt the need to use other than the standard that Mal’s implement.
You can set the shipping on an item by item basis by using Option 3 - Calculated from weight or other value
If you set this to a low value of (for example 0.002) then in your Buy Button you can set the shipping units so that the value (0.002) X the shipping units (say 20000) = the total you want ie $40 - this page does that http://www.deltadesign.co/odds/testcart.html
You can also set shipping Free over a certain value.
But what may be more simple is to aggregate your shipping rates - instead of $8.50 for some and $10 for others make it $9.25 for all. That way you win some, you lose some.
But what you mostly find on the likes of E-bay is that shipping is charged at more than it really costs you anyway and it adds another revenue stream.
