Did you try deleting everything on the sub-page involving the menu and then use “Reapply Master”? Sometimes an individual page will have elements which may be unnecessary, redundant or have older copies of things lurking around. “Cleaning out” the items which are supposed to be provided by the Master Page may resolve the issue.
Make sure you’ve backed up your work as a separate version before proceeding.
