menu list shift

I like to have a menu list that is visible all the time also when the page is scrolling.
The page is centered, but when I set the menu “fixed in window” the menu is shifted to most left side of the page ( not centered anymore)
How can I fix this e.g. that the menu stays centered on the page?

Hi,

I wrapped this once in an example that you can find here.

It’s a bit more extended but it could help you to investigate what’s going on. The key is to make a small inline construction.

Cheers

Thomas,

This is a great design, this is what I wanted!!
How did you manage this?, I cannot open your template!
Freeway say I have the wrong version, I have 5.4.2.

Hi Ton,

arrgnnn - yes I can’t expect everybody is on 5.5 (but it’s worth to have a look at).

I illustrated the stuff so this could give you an idea.

For additional infos you should scan this list for “inline content or inline construction, or div in div”.

Cheers

Thomas,

I’am going to try to get it to work with your help until so far!

Do I really need 5.5 for this?

Danke vielmals…!

not for the construction itself.

But for the FW-File to open. I do not have any lower versions than this so I can’t share it in an FW 5.4.x.

Just meant to have a look into FW 5.5 (you could load a 30 days trial to investigate). But do not touch any of your actual projects to try 5.5.

Cheers

You mean I can expect problems doeing that? is it better to only start new projects with 5.5?

BTW, I just downloaded the trial version.

Once you open a project in 5.5 AND save it, you can never open that
file in 5.0 again. The two file formats are incompatible. So go ahead
and use the demo version while you’re trying it out, and try it out on
a new document if you’re not convinced you’re going to upgrade. But I
would upgrade. It’s a really solid bunch of improvements between 5.x<5
and 5.5+ (now 5.6).
