menubar text colors

does anyone know how to get the menubar text rollover color to also appear on the linked page? ie, on the master page, menubar text is blue with red rollovers applied. so if I mouseover the word “contact” in the menu bar, “contact” turns red. i click on it (still red) and now it takes me to the contact page. but now the word “contact” is blue. I’ve tried various rollover scenarios on both the master page as well as the linked pages. any ideas?

thanks!

Hi Andrea,
I am guessing you are using the CSS menu action? If so, if you look at the action dialogue box, you should be able to see a bit that says ‘highlight current page’… click on it and all being well your problem should be solved.

Cheers Jon

Thank you Jon! Sadly, I cannot find the “CSS Menus Highlight Current Page” feature. Could you tell me where it is? I’m using 5.3.2. thanks!

In the CSS menu Action palette under the Main Menu Layout selector (Horizontal/Vertical) you will see 2 check boxes.

The top one of these is Highlight Current Page

Similarly in the Submenu Settings you will see similar options.

Thank you David! Sadly, I still have no clue where this is. Where do I find the CSS menu Action palette? Does that mean the CSS layout button is checked on (blue) and I go to Windows / Actions? thanks again.

Go to the Window menu and click on Actions (shortcut keys Alt
+Command +A) and it will bring up a small window that shows each
Action used for each item, as you select it. (If there is more than
one action applied they are tabbed).

So open the Action window, click on the item with your CSS Menu
Action applied and all should be revealed.
