Another Simple Problem I don’t seem to be able to solve:

I have created a webpage that is 750px Wide and want to add a menu as follows:

Home | Profile | Case Studies | Our Services | News | Media | Contact Us

But I am having a few problems:

  1. I created it as a list and and applied the action 'Item>Actions>CCS Menus but I can not get it to stretch evenly across the Page and some of the menu items double line even when the menu only goes 2/3rds of the way across the page. I have adjusted the ems slider to try and balance the CCS list across the page and can not get it to fit correctly. I have also played around with text sizes and Text alinements (Centred, Justified) with out any luck.

Having given up on that I have just text in a HTML box and then in the alinement selected justified, but again I can’t get it to space evenly across the page (allowing for different browser to view the page + or - a font size). All I can do is aline the menu list as centred, which seems to be the best option and have a space at each end.

Is there any way I can get the text to touch the left & right edges of the page and will increase and shrink in size with out expanding into a new line?

It seems such a simple problem, but I don’t seem to be able to crack it.

The page is not up yet, I am waiting to the person who I am building the site for to sort out the hosting space. So I can’t show you the issues online.

You can always tag pages like this onto your own webspace ie in your own site create a folder that would appear as www.jamiejonesphoto.co.uk/test - then dont populate it with anything.

When you are working on a test site you can put the upload path in as www.jamiejonesphoto.co.uk/test and then your new test site will be built inside the Jamie Jones test folder

Would I need to Export the Pages Some How?

Could You explain how I can more a page from one creation file to another please?

You dont need to move anything.

As I said create a subfolder in your existing site (www.jamiejonesphoto.co.uk) called test (with no content) then upload your site and this will create a folder on your server called test.

Then in the NEW FW document that you are working on use exactly the same FTP information as your main site with one small change.

Where you have upload path (File>Document Setup>Upload>Directory)

You probably have something like public_html/ - just change this to public_html/test - then any files will be uploaded to www.jamiejonesphoto.co.uk/test - or whatever host site you are using.
