Merchant accounts and stores

Hi,

I’m looking for advice from the group about what merchant accounts might be the best and what store software works well within FWPro. I’ve read, I believe here on freeway talk, that an account with one’s own bank is usually more expensive than other types of accounts.

Any advice on these to topics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

It depends on what you’re trying to do. Are you selling physical / tangible products, downloadable products, services? Perhaps a narrow or detailed description of what you are looking to do would help to provide more focused responses.

I use PayPal on my site and it works fine. PayPal is the easiest to work with (that I’ve used), combined with Mals shopping cart, plus those FW actions for Mals.

However, I will be changing all of my set up to something more amazing and commercial in the new year.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The store is for Black Patch Farms, Grass-Fed Beef. So they’ll be selling products that have to be shipped, that is, things like all sorts of steaks, roasts, ribs, etc. So no downloads or services. If this isn’t enough information, please let me know.

I like the fact that you say PayPal is the easiest to work with.

But of course now I’m interested in what you might be changing to.

Thanks,
Martin
