I’ve moved from a Mac Mini computer to a MacBook Air. My files were moved by restoring a Time Machine backup of the Mini onto the MacBook Air (Migration Assistant was unsuccessful using an attached hard disk). Opening X-Way all the image and downlabable files are listed as “inaccessible”. I can relink them one at a time but there’s a bit over 300 of them. Is there a way to relink as a group?
Attached is a screen shot of the X-Way file list and a screen shot of my folder structure. All folders list as having Read/Write access if I do a “Get Info”. Brand new mac air running Sequoia 15.5
Current web site is CLSD_XWAY and all the images are in subfolders within the “Artwork” folder. Downloadable content is in “WEB SITE CONTENT FILES”.
This is caused by sandbox restrictions. After restoring the files to a new system, Xway no longer has permission to access those files.
Note that in this inaccessible state, editing the document and publishing will be unaffected as the document keeps copies of resources, however Xway will not be able to pick up changes if the original files are edited.
After pressing the button to relocate one of your images, select the folder containing that image rather than the image itself. That will find and relocate that one, plus any others within that folder.
