I try to err on the side of caution, giving people the benefit of the
doubt, and all that hippy malarkey. But in this case I agree: he
certainly doesn’t want to be here and he’s definitely not behaving
even remotely appropriately. He even sent me back the same “DELETE”

sure that’s what’s happened, and he’s confused (near-terminally)

I put him in moderation earlier today, but that wasn’t enough. His
account has been deleted, and all related messages have been removed
from the database. I’ll run cleanup on the various tables now, and we
should be all set.

You’ll all probably need to visit your Account pages and press the little “clean up unread counts” link below the subscriptions table. Otherwise you’ll have some phantom unread numbers in the high hundreds from today’s DELETE debacle…
