Experimenting with Exhibeo galleries on Xway and now wondering, despite the visual clutter likely, if it’s possible to have more than one instance of Exhibeo galleries on a single page?
I seem to remember having a stab but there were issues.
I don’t wish to be rude but my question was > can more than one< be installed per page?
IIRC double stacking galleries worked on my computer browser but broke on my iPhone. It was a while ago and I cant remember how I built the page.
I have been steadily building the multiple galleries and will add / publish in a day or two, so will be better placed to assess results if alcoholic poisoning doesn’t get me on Wednesday.
Sorry I missed out a word on my answer. It should have said more than one. I have 26 galleries that link from one gallery page if that is what you mean.
Ah, yes. I realised you had missed out a word.
So if nothing breaks across devices or os’s, I’ll crack on with building galleries and test with one page. Supposed to have snow overnight so that might mean testing is sooner rather than later.
As others have said, you can have more than one Exhibeo gallery on a page. Exhibeo and Xway will generate separate CSS and JavaScript files for each gallery, since they have different Name/IDs.
On the other hand, if you have galleries on separate pages, and they use the same settings and have the same Name/ID (e.g. “gallery”), Exhibeo and Xway will output a single CSS and a single JavaScript file for each gallery, so it’s possible that pages will load (a bit) faster.
Cheers Jeremy.
I’m going to continue building and captioning the galleries then do the export stuff, probably in a day or two. That bit of work (selection / captions) seems to take up an inordinate amount of time.
Maybe I should change my workflow and save images to folders for then pushing into the galleries. Presently I’m picking stuff out of a large photos library then captioning. That’s a bit haphazard and long winded.
The Exhibeo → Xway is fairly elegant and I’m not expecting issues there.
