I created a testsite for a customer, called Testisite 1. After I got approval of the design, I went and changed the filename in Finder. This corrupted the whole file. I got error 104 (or something).
Today I changed the file “Site 2008” to “Site 2011” and again Freeway Pro 5.6 cannot open the file.
Hello MacFinn.
Have you saved your file each time so your able to return to it. It sounds like Freeway trying open a non existing page. When publishing the site after save it create the site folder for the original page.
That’s just it. After changing the Freeway file’s name in Finder, Freeway doesn’t open it any more.
There your snag changing in Finder, the Freeway is trying to find the original when it doesn’t exist. has the file change appearance too when you look into the folder you save in. If so try the GET INFO route by changing the open with section and see if that works.
Do you have an external hard disk, or a network server accessible to you, or even Dot Mac or anything like that? Can you save there, but not on your local disk? Do you have Time Machine running, and do you have a clean copy of your recent work? If so, locate the DVD or CD-ROM that came with your Mac, and boot your Mac from it. Run the Disk Utility and see what it finds when you click Repair Disk on your main boot drive. I am guessing here, but it would be extremely odd for Freeway (alone) to be unable to save files to your disk. I fear the issue is far more general.

And today, Freeway refuses to save anything. I only get disk error, priviledges error, you name it, I got it.
