Sorry to join and jump straight in at the deep end but I was hoping to get advice and hopefully find a designer who was interested in building a site for me.
I am a quark designer and dabble in FileMaker but also run a small book publishers selling my own 4 titles and being an agent for other publishers. The books are technical B2B titles sold to the food industry world-wide. I am based in the UK. I have a website www.kennedys-books.co.uk. This was written quite a few years ago and costs me an arm and a leg to run with the hosting company who have high monthly charges.
Please can anyone suggest a designer or firm who could take this project on. I would like a Freeway site with a database driven product section. I have more ideas for a free technical article download section and other enhancements to the existing site.
I would really like a clean, fresh, technical/scientific well designed look rather than a yellow/red/blue overload like I have now. I have often got Freeway out and thought of designing a static site myself but the project has got too big and really needs a database.
I realise this may not be the right place to post so please excuse me but there are so many rip-off firms at trade shows who charge fortunes. Although my site looks large I have a small turnover and run a business from my home. So I thought I would try the Freeway community.
