New site with more than 1 contributor

I have been asked to consider the creation of a new web site for a local Sailing club, one of their criteria is that minor information updates can be implemented by a small number of club members.

Would the forum advise on how best to set this up using Freeway Pro.

Thank You

There are any number of CMS (Content Management Systems) that can be used with FW.

They vary from the easy to the very complicated.

WebYep - pretty powerful and assisted by a great set of actions from Max Izzat.

PulseCMS http://pulsecms.com/ - only a few lines of code to paste into your FW page. Gallery and Blog options. Easy setup. No actions but you wont need them.

Perch http://grabaperch.com/ - relatively powerful and again pretty easy setup.

ExpressionEngine http://expressionengine.com/ - can be a steep learning curve but there are some actions available. Probably overkill here.

Joomla http://www.joomla.org/ - again very powerful, steep learning curve and probably overkill. Actions available.

That is just a few. Search FWT for topics about CMS - there are plenty.

David,

As an amateur Web designer that does it in the spare time, i need something simple.

I will take a look at your suggestions.

Thank You

Hi ejw,

A simple cms seems to be your answer. Perch, Pulse or Webyep etc. Plenty of threads on the forum for implementing these. Especially latter two.
For my money - ease of implementation, no fancy coding (cut n’ paste basically) and ease of placing inline images (a failure of so many cms) I would go for Pulse but I’m sure there will be other suggestions and preferences.

Another suggestion would be mojomotor - http://mojomotor.com/ which is a lighter version of expressionengine that Dave mentioned.

I’m just about to start on a Big cms site and to be honest I’m finding it hard to choose anything other than simple Pulse or Perch (offering slightly more) as a cms. The client and site will probably manage just fine with these.

I ran the simple demo on WebYep that looks simple enough from a users point of view, and i am assuming the actions are fairly straight forward to implement.

Will have a look at Pulse and Perch.

Thanks again
