Nokia mobile...way off topic

Wondered if anyone uses a Mac and a Nokia phone to sync details? I can’t do it!!

A search on Apple’s web site finds these wonderful words…

“supports cell phones from major manufacturers to synchronize your data using iSync—Apple’s hot synchronisation software built into every modern Macintosh computer.”

So it’s built in is it?..where?..and how the hell do you use it?

Basically I want to get all my contacts off the phone onto iSync…and then load them back onto the SIM card.

There’s probably an easy solution which someone more intelligent than me can share!

thanks
Hugh

Hi Hugh,

I use my E71 with iSync and have no probs, although a plug-in for iSync was required.

Go to http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/isync/compatibility-and-download and enter your model to find out if you require a plug-in and download it there if you do!

Cheers,

Craig

Hi Hugh; Spotlight is useful for this sort of thing; if you’re not sure where something is, just type its name into Spotlight. I often use Spotlight as an application launcher for applications I don’t use often enough to keep in the Dock.

Another great way to find and launch apps is to use alfred.app which is totally free. I found out about it through Twitter and have been using the beta version for quite some time now. Saves loads of time.

It uses spotlight information to find apps, and can also do a heck of a lot more too! You should check it out (as long as you are on an Intel Mac running 10.5+)

Hi Hugh,
A quick look at the Alfred website shows there is a ppc version
although it says it’s unsupported:

http://help.alfredapp.com/ppc/

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Steve.
