Oh, look!

You can now quote individual messages in your reply. If it doesn’t work for you, force-refresh your browser. You may have a cached version of the JavaScripts.

The quote button floats around a bit, when the post is short and the gravitar pushes it to the left (see chuckamuck’s post in this thread). Not a big deal, but it would be nice if there was a way to have it in the same place no matter what.

Ok, next forum nicety to add is smileys. When smileys start interfering with quotes… will the madness never end! :wink:

If anyone can find a JavaScript smiley replacer, let me know.

Thanks,

Personally, smilies are the only thing I don’t miss…at least the blinking, winking, blushing ones !

When I’m faced with an environment that transforms text smilies to
cheesy graphics, and I feel the need to insert an indication of
levity, I sometimes resort to the left-handed variety. These are
never messed with. (c;

Okay, your wish, etc…

If you want to see emoticons, just turn Convert Smilies on. It’s all done in JavaScript, so it won’t mess with the quoting system or anything else. There are no smilies in the vocabulary that use >, the better to not mess with quoting. Stick to the usual :slight_smile: :sunglasses: :smiley: etc.
