“A horrible company run by horrible people selling horrible products.”

GoDaddy should put that quote on their web site.

Really? I hear the same thing about Apple’s policies and about their closed environments. I like GD - they are cheapest with regards to domain purchasing. I have my own server so I don’t use their hosting.

I can remember when satire was funny. Now it only serves to emphasize that
I live in the shittiest version of reality ever conceived.

I understand that GD description, in the UK I had a VS with Designer
Servers, they were good, responsive to a call for help and would set
things up that required a trip to Terminal. They had a miserable
imitation of the standard Linux Control Panel.

Well the trouble started, when a bigger fish down-river brought them,
then another and another and another, getting bigger and more difficult
to get anything done, finally ending up at Demon Servers, last year they
decided to drop VS entirely and sold most of the business to Vodafone.

But the VS business was sold to a questionable outfit back where
Designer Servers were in Manchester.

As the GD article says and to paraphrase Media Temple says it all, their
intention was to groom the business for resale … many businesses are
created for that purpose?

Without hope …
