Online Store for Registering for Karate Tournament

I haven’t built an e-commerce site yet and feel very much out of my depth!

I have been asked if I can set up an online registration site for a karate tournament next March.

Karate Dojos need to be able to go to the site and register for which events they want to enter, the number of people entering and pay for each event. It also needs to allow a £5 discount on a 2nd, 3rd 4th event being entered.

For example: If 10 people are each entering 3 events the cost would be £15 x 10 for the 1st event, and £10 x 10 for the 2nd and 3rd.

I’ve seen an example of this, but I haven’t a clue of the best way of creating my own. I have looked into Shopify, but it doesn’t seem to give the discount options I need.

I have also looked at Mals E-commerce, but again can’t find the options I need

If anyone has any help or advice on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

The registering part is straightforward - this is an example I did in 5.5 - http://www.deltadesign.co/fw_examples/register.html

However I am not sure if Mals has the option you are looking for.

Are you suggesting that the Dojo will bulk register their members and not on an individual basis?

I’ve seen an example of this, but I haven’t a clue of the best way of creating my own.

Can you show us this example and we might be able to see how they have implemented it.

Hi David

Originally it was going to be bulk registering, but I think it will have to be individual as it will be far too complicated otherwise.

It does seem to be the discount option that is causing me the most problems - I can’t find the option to do it anywhere, even though I’ve seen it!

Discounts in Mals

So this can work if an individual is registering

Ah, that looks like it could be the answer!

I’ll give it a go.
