password access webpage

Hi,
I want to create a user passport access newsletter page for members
of my dive club and cannot work out how to! Any help will be
appreciated.

One way to try is through your web host. Most web host will give you this option in the file management area or the htaccess area. You just create a folder and then set it to be password protected. The few hosts I use give options for multiple user names and passwords.

I agree with Rich. You want a Realm. Realms are username and password protected folders within a website. Most ISPs should be able to help you. Probably a 1 time setup fee of just a couple of dollars.

Most decent hosting providers provide this facility through their Cpanel and it is often referred to as Password Protect Directories
