Password protected pages

Has anyone had a go at creating password protected pages in Freeway Pro?

I have been asked if I can create a password protected area in a website I’m working on.

Whenever I’m asked if I can do something I always say yes! Then I look into if I actually can!! Not the best way of working, but if other people can do it - I figure that I can too!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

… and whenever I’m asked I say no and try to find out the reason why not.

Basically nearby everything in Freeway is possible (it is just generating code - not more).

Password protected?

It depends on the requirements. There had been an action in the past, it can be done via back-end server side and there are even scripts out there including “subscription” opportunities such as Buy Membership Software and Systems Online UK | Vibralogix

Choose your weapon.

The quickest way is to make a passworded folder on your hosting account. Check your hosting control panel.

The other ways mean getting involved with coding.

The feature for this in a standard cPanel setup is called Password Protect Directories

Aha! I’ve seen that on cPanel, but it obviously never registered!

I think I might need to have a play…

Cheers guys

I did this then found there was something I had to do within my site build (Freeway Pro)…like putting my page in a separate Folder (Directory). Is there a tute or action for a Password Protected Page?

Thanks

perhaps this helps Carolyn?

Be aware that the options are not fully secure.
