Petition: Bring Back CSSEdit

I know many FW users have discovered the greatness that is/was CSSEdit. You also know development was regrettably stopped a few years ago. If you enjoy CSSEdit as much as I do then here’s your chance to petition developer MacRabbit to bring it back. Add your signature here http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/cssedit. But just as importantly please help get the word out to the Mac web design/development community any way you can be it email, Twitter or Facebook. No one is asking for money just your support. Stats will be periodically sent to the devs and if we’re lucky maybe we can persuade them to change their mind.

While we’re fortunate it still works with the current version of OSX it’s inevitable that won’t always be the case.

We’re listed on the front page https://www.petitionbuzz.com, though not for long. I know there are more CSSEdit users on this list so please sign the petition http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/cssedit and use the Notes field to tell MacRabbit why you want it back. And while you’re at it Tweet and/or Facebook it. No money required, it doesn’t get much easier than that.

Help make Walter a happy guy.

Caleb,

Thanks for signing and for the suggestion of making it open-source. I updated the petition to include your idea as an alternative for MacRabbit.

Todd,

You are welcome. It seems to me that if they don’t want to spend the time developing it, they really aught to let others work on it. I doubt that they would loose very many potential Espresso users because of it, and the developer/designer community would be very thankful.

For those of you who signed the petition, thank you. This morning I managed to start a CSSEdit dialog on the Espresso page of MacUpdate https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30094/espresso. If you feel inclined please post a comment and keep the discusion going.
