PHP Feedback Form Problem

I have uploaded the same form elements of a test php form using the php feedback form action to two different Streamline.net accounts but I can’t get it to work on the third one (where I want it to work) :

www.benjaminsofboston.com/form.html on Streamline works OK
also
www.trevormckay.co.uk/form.html on Streamline works OK

the same files will not work on
www.splurge.ie/form.html on Streamline NOT OK

I get this error when I try to send the form:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, email@hidden and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

tech support at Streamline say this:

Error 500 usually happens if there is a code on your htaccess that is not supported on our system. We only support mod rewrite on htaccess. Every other code generates an error 500. Please make sure to comment out or remove the unsupported code.

what and why is this? if it works on the other 2 accounts?

I suspect this account is running on a Windows IIS server. and the two
that are working are running Linux servers.

Tim.

Hi Tim

Just checked the 3 accounts - they are all Linux. I am always suspect of anything as transparent as a Window!!

Create a PHP Info page (http://forums.kayako.com/f74/creating-phpinfo-page-12660/
) and upload it to each of your three accounts. Print each resulting
page to a PDF and compare the results. I suspect you’ll find something
in the third server’s configuration that doesn’t match the other two -
either the operating system, sendmail path, or something similar.

Tim.

Hmmm interesting - I uploaded the phpinfo.php file to my server space and I got reams of settings and info but when I loaded the same file to the other server I just get the same error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, email@hidden and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Is this purely something on the server side?

Any thoughts now?

That sounds as though that particular server doesn’t support PHP. Is
that possible?

Opened another Job Ticket with Streamline - they can be a bit slowwwwww! So I created a brand new PHP page with one word on and uploaded to my space - fine . . . same thing on the other server - not fine. Checked error log on server - reporting a problem. Rang Streamline this morning - they confirm problem and looking into it. So that’s the state of play at the moment.
So I’ve wasted about 2 days now trying to resolve this and it appears it’s a server side problem. Think this is the last account I will be hosting there!

Thanks Tim and Waltd for lookining in - will confirm when problem resolved.

It appears that Streamline have sorted the server side problem. As yet they have not replied to my job ticket - but as long as it keeps working now - it’s fine.
