I would stick to JPEG while you’re showing them to your client. The
only reason to use PNG for this is if you are zeroing out the
background and then overlaying it on a mixed background. Even then,
you can get Freeway to composite a matching background finto the HPEG
or you, and then you have the browser support of JPEG along with faux
transparency.

Ok, how do you do that?

with the white background the pictures were helping make the site look heavy. I totally agree with all on my question last night.
Also, the pictures look bad on the white background - almost as bad as before i removed the background of all the pictures.

I have no problem with using the jpeg on the sl2 pictures, just the ones on the store and the landing pages from catigories.

I know my layout is not great still. but I am trying to make at leat the pictures pop - in a good sense

I think I found the culprit picture (at least one) and I left it PNG but I colored the box in the same color as the background. I hope that works also.

If the background is a solid color, then you can make it a JPEG.
Freeway will add in the background color you apply to the image, or if
you have the image over another image, it will burn in a copy of the
image beneath the knockout image, so you see the exact aligned
background behind your image.
