**Please Provide Feedback**

Hi everyone

Its been awhile and hope everyone is having a good start into the new year.

I just finished our second website and I would appreciate any positive or negative feedback to the site. Please let me know if you see any broken links or issues with different screen resolutions. Also, if you have any good suggestions on how to make it google friendly.

Thank-you so much fellow Freeway Talk Memebers - cheers!

Nice job.

Two things that catch my eye. First - I expected your footer on first glance to be rollovers so was a bit surprised there are not. Second - you’ve exposed the email address to every spammer in the world. You may want to rethink that.

Fuz, I absolutely like the clean and minimal layout.

The only thing I will change is to make the html boxes flexible so that when you increase the text size in the browser the boxes will expand instead of displaying the scroll bars on the side.

I did not spend a huge amount if time looking at this but I also noticed your styles and html boxes do not have descriptive names. For example you can rename your “item2a1a1a” to something more descriptive like “rightcolumn” and so on.

With regards to Google it’s always good to submit a site map - more info here What Is a Sitemap | Google Search Central  |  Documentation  |  Google for Developers

The code is entity-encoded - that’s Freeway’s default behaviour these
days. I’m not saying that’s 100% proof, but it does help.

However, he’s right: the plain text on the page is NOT encoded. Quick
fix: change this to something like “Email me”.

Really nice looking site.

One item. As a consumer there is isn’t much to it. I can’t view any products and am re-directed to the vendors sites. I’d just order through them directly or search for their products for the best price.

Thank-you all for the great comments and suggestions.

I have removed the exposed e-mail address links to an alias. Is this all I have to do?

Also, another two issues:

  1. I would like to link the footer items but don’t want it to be underlined. As soon as I do an internal hyperlink it underlines the text - which I can’t remove. Any ideas?

  2. I would also like to add and have the related product shoots on the right when you hold the mouse over them at http://www.bradfordhardware.com/vancouverproducts.html .

For example, you hold the mouse over bath hardware and the picture on the right displays a photo of bath hardware. Any ideas?

Thanks again everyone!

Finding the lowest price possible. Not everyone wants to be in that market.

One way to counter this is to make sure the site is on good quality and trust worthy good service etc. - and create a local market so clients they can touch and feel. The products certainly create a desire. I think this site pretty much fits the bill on that point.

There are a couple of ways to determine whether links are underlined or not - the standard way is to use the Links settings see http://www.deltadzine.net/test/textrollover.html - there clicking on the U to the right toggles it on and off (1st click turns it off I think) but try it. But this is a page wide setting.

Alternatively you can apply the Text Link Style action to the HTML container and uncheck the Underline box there.

I assume that you want to use something like http://deltadzine.net/test/_index2.html

This uses a rollover and Target Show/Hide Layer action
