PNG ontop of slideshow

Here’s one that I’m not sure will work…

I have a slideshow which works fine, but I want to add the post-it note that currently sits in the top right of each image as a PNG so that it is separate. Then make it a rollover so that it changes colour when hovered over. This is all OK and easy enough to do, but the layered PNG displays a solid background whilst the underlying layers fade into each other.

There’s probably no way round this, but just wanted to ask anyway.

Make sure the post-it note graphic is set to be generated as a PNG
set to millions of colours, otherwise it won’t include the required
8-bit alpha channel for the transparency.

It doesn’t matter at all what format your original graphic is in,
just make sure that the graphic on the page is set to be output as
a 24-bit, millions of colours PNG.
