Position slave group jumps to top

Goodmorning all! First post on Freewaytalk.

I’m working in FWPro 5.5 and like to the slave group action applied to a page as explained by Mike B on this page http://econdataweb.com/freeway/slaveimages.php.

The action itself works but whenever I click a thumbnail the page ‘jumps’ to the top making me have to scroll down to my slave group to click the next one, after which the page again jumps to the top.

I’m stuck here, help highly appreciated! Regards, Niek

Gosh Niek, this was done a long time ago, I didn’t even realise it still existed

You shouldn’t need to click the thumbnail but just roll the cursor over it, I don’t think the code these actions will work in some browsers ‘I am not sure who wrote them, possibly Softpress’, I just quickly looked at this is Safari for example and the action code doesn’t work there although the actions may have been updated or replaced with others over the last years to be more compatible with more browsers.

Unfortunately I am fairly busy this weekend with some things this weekend but if noone else comes up with a solution I will try and have a searh on Monday to see if there is a better way to do this now.

Hi Mike, I think that particular page will have had a huge page count since my visits!

You do understand what I mean by ‘jumping’ right?
I would like to have it acting like what has been done here:
http://www.ciocc.it/index.php/en/products/vintage/vintage-bike/san-cristobal

I would also like to learn how I can make the slideshow working…

Thanks for your reply and any help in advance.
I hope you won’t be able to resist and reply… but have a good weekend anyway!

The example was made to work not by clicking on images but by rolling over them! open the example page in Firefox to see how it was built to work, I don’t think the code the actions produce works in Chrome, or Safari.

I would use the Rollover action on the small Images and Target Show/Hide Layer (or Image) on the larger ones.

Example http://www.deltadesign.co/fw_examples/fwactions/rollover2.html

Change the Rollover setting from Mouseover #1 to Click #1 if you want the small images clickable.
