Powered USB Hub Help?

Okay, I’ve hit another snag with my transition from a MacPro to a MacBook Pro for use as a desktop system. As it turns out I had no idea how many USB devices I would need to move from a desktop to a laptop. So I don’t overload my MacBook Pro I purchased several Powered USB Hubs to help.

Here’s my current USB arrangement. Both of my hubs are connected directly to the MBP.

Hub A (Satechi 4-port USB 3):

  1. Matrox DualHead2Go Digital ME-Powered Device
  2. Dymo LabelWriter Twin Turbo
  3. My Passport 1.5TB External Drive-Powered Device

Hub B (Belkin In-Desk USB Hub 2):

  1. Apple External SuperDrive
  2. Spyder3Elite Color Calibrator-Powered Device

As you can see, both of my MacBook Pro USB hubs are being used. I was wondering if I can connect a Powered Hub into a Powered Hub to free up a port, so basically my configuration would look like this:

Hub A (Satechi 4-port USB 3):

  1. Matrox DualHead2Go Digital ME
  2. Dymo LabelWriter Twin Turbo
  3. My Passport 1.5TB External Drive-Powered Device
  4. Belkin In-Desk USB Hub 2

Will that work or do I run the risk of tearing a whole in the space-time continuum?

On another note, this whole thing of using a MacBook Pro as a desktop system is a bit messy because of all the cables and stuff, which is challenging for someone like me with a touch of OCD. :frowning:

If anyone has any ideas on how to cleanup my desktop that would be helpful as well.
