Presenting images

Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone might be able to offer some advice regarding photo presentation.

I am working on major revamp of a tired site for a client whose business focus is shifting and the new site will reflect this move. We are cutting down the amount of pages and the focus (excuse the pun!) will move toward presentation of a large amount (over time) of specialist images.

At the moment I am puuting a flash slideshow on a separate page for each category and all is (kinda) well except that the client has asked if there is a way that the loading of the page could be made quicker.

We have had all the discussions about file size v quality and no of images but I was wondering if there was any other delivery method that would be quicker.

To be fair, I am getting a load time of less than 10 seconds in most cases even when the cache has been cleared but the client still wants quicker.

Sorry for the long post but can anyone help

Much appreciated.

Mark

4.35 seconds here - I don’t think your client has much to complain about!
