First off, Freeway is back. Softpress has risen, Phoenix-like, from the ashes. Second, most of these sorts of errors are caused by a corrupt internal representation of an image or other resource you have added to a page. There are some basic troubleshooting steps you can take to recover from this. Try to publish after each step, and stop when you find a combination that works.
Open Edit / Resources, press the Resample All button. (very low-hanging fruit, often works)
Locate your Site Folder on your Mac, open it in Finder, and delete all of the contents.
Save an Archive (File / Save Archive) of your document. Close the original document, and open the archive.
See if any of those sort it out for you. Another thing to pay attention to is the progress dialog as you are publishing. If it starts publishing at all, you should see each page that it is publishing appear in the dialog, in order. The last one you see before the error is significant, because it means that the next page has the issue. Very often this can mean that re-building that one page will clear the error and avoid the pain and heartache of fixing or replacing every page.

I know that feeway is no more but like you all I still use the program to update my customers websites.
However on one of the sites I have tried to update as soon as I go to publish or preview the site I get this error (-1409:271:232)
