Your home page is not named index.html. In Freeway, select the page you want to appear by default – the home page – from the list of pages on the left side of the main window. Open the Inspector, and look at what is currently set in the Filename field. Whatever it is, change it to index.html. You can (and should) have a Title that is more descriptive than Index, so there’s no need to have these two fields match. One thing that Freeway does by default is to take whatever you add as the Title of the page and “url-ize” it – removing illegal characters and spaces, down-casing the letters, etc. – but this automation is just a starting point for you to use. You can smarten up these filenames and Freeway will stop the automatic conversion of any page the moment that you enter a filename manually.
You will also find that whenever you create a new site or a new folder within an existing site, Freeway will automatically create the first page with the filename index.html for you. What I suspect happened is that you started on a different page than the home page, then made a new home page, deleted the original one, and your new “home” page has the filename to match its title, like welcometomysite.html rather than index.html.

Any hints, I found some stuff about index file names etc., but nothing I really understood.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, please keep it simple if possible as I only have a very basic understanding of web publishing.
