Yea, that’s what I did. I did get the message that it would save a special
backup… and there is a 5.5 version in there… but it’s from February
25th (my old original).
AND, there is a 6.02 version which is the one that I’ve made some updates
to and tested 6.0.
But, when I try and open the 6.02 version in 5.6 it says it cant…
When I open the 5.6 version it’s my old one…
In other words, there does not appear to be a ‘special saved backup’
version anywhere…?

When you open a FW5 document in FW6 you get a message that a special
backup will be made in the older format. This only happens when you save
your document in FW6.
This backup uses the naming format along the lines of “My Web
Site[FW5.5].freeway”, and should be in the same local folder as the
original file you opened.
I just tried this locally, and it worked just fine. I control-clicked on
the FW5.5 file, and chose Freeway 5.6.5 from the menu.
I assume you still have FW5 installed on your Mac. If you double-click
the back-up file it will generally open in the most recent version of
Freeway you have.
I hope some of that helped.
