I just wonder if you can re-programme the shortcuts
This used to be possible. I don’t know if it is now, but I’d counsel against setting the Control key to do something on it’s own. As with so many other apps today that is now the contextual menu trigger, and it is far more valuable in that role (trust me, it is) than as a simple tool shortcut.
