It only needs to be 25px x 167px and set to tile horizontally.

Dave, the problem with that is that the line then becomes little lines (each of 25pxls repeated) as you will see.
I made the graphic 25pxl wide , 167pxls long. FIle size was super small!!! 
Maybe that is why I made it so wide?

this new one from Walt is only 26pxl wide but it does not show as a choppy repeat horizontally. hmmm they both have the same settings in the inspector too.

That’s because your file blackheaderbargloa.png is 167px wide but the
actual graphic (the white line w/ black background is only 166px wide so
you have a 1px empty area on the right side. Crop the image and get rid
of that empty space.

todd, none of the images I am using are 167 wide, only 25 and 26pxl wide now.
Are you confusing that with the height?

Yes, I am. My mistake. Still, the file is 25px wide but the actual
graphic is only 24px wide. Crop again.

No flash for me. Maybe someone else can verify.
I tried Safari and Firefox. I’ve been having weird and persistent
caching issues recently so it could very well just be me.
