hi
I just stared a new fw6 html5 site
but there is no longer an automatic folder with site folder, media, backup in it… what is up with that? do I make a new folder and where is site folder an d medai for this new site. confusing!
sorry for misspelling above
I am in a pinch. normally when I create a new site custom blank, the folder is created with site folder, etc all together in one folder. How do I do this in FW6? hmm
Those are created by the Blank (or other name) template, not by the application alone. Create a new document using the Blank template, and you should see the whole package structure. By the way, that’s not a requirement, just a very good suggestion. The Site Folder will be created at your first publish, in whatever location you specify.

This is how all versions of Freeway have always worked, all the way back to the year dot. Custom has never created any structure around your project for you.
You are completely free to build this structure around your project using the Finder. There is nothing magical about what the template does for you, it just builds the tree of folders. You choose the Site Folder using the Document Setup dialog, and that folder may be made (or moved) at any time you desire.

oh Walt yeah you are here
ok in the new dialog there is only a custom choice and template which I never use
so I am unsure what to do . I had already chosen custom and that is where I ran into a problem
actually Walter the dialog is new. The Blank was always the one I used since I started with FW, but if you look, the dialogue palette is different now.
you have to go to Presentation now ( which is not in previous versions) and then choose blank presentation, so hence my confusion
thx
