I have a website with the Flickrshow action on several pages, but the images are not showing anymore.
I checked Flickr and the images are still there and the image ID is still valid. The websites itself hasn’t been changed in about a year.
Is it possible that there are issues with the websites where the script is loaded from or something?
Please let me know.

I noticed the comment, but the site was working fine when I checked last year. About three weeks ago when I checked last time it was also still working fine.

I see from the developers GitHub that the base javascript was updated 4 months ago - GitHub - beseku/javascript.flickrshow
There is no mention of why but I am pretty sure that Walter’s action doesn’t reflect the update.

My Action is “pinned” to version 7.2.1 of the FlickrShow library. What version are they on today?

Same version (7.2) but it says that ‘Flickr now requires request over SSL.’ Update flickrshow-7.2.js · beseku/javascript.flickrshow@0eb6c29 · GitHub

Hmm. That’s going to be difficult to pull off, since you cannot make an SSL request from a non-SSL host and get anything in return. I can easily host the script from my HTTPS CDN endpoint, but if your page is not hosted in a secure server, then the stars will not align and you won’t get anything back in most browsers.

Well DTP2 - the ball is back in your court - does that site have a SSL certificate you can (or want) to use?
If not then Flickrshow is indeed dead for you.
I am sure that Walter can, and would, do the necessary his end but unless existing Flickrshow Action users are prepared to go down the SSL route then there isn’t much point.
Time to find an alternative?

Nope, the site does not have and will not have a SSL Certificate so indeed time to find an alternative.
Thanks for checking!
